Kusum Das is an award-winning Madhubani artist and a dedicated torchbearer of this ancient Indian folk art. Based in Delhi, India, Kusum has been nationally recognised for her exceptional contribution to preserving and promoting Madhubani painting in its truest form.
Deeply rooted in traditional methods, Kusum creates her own colours using natural flowers and minerals, a practice that keeps her craft sustainable and authentic. Each piece she paints is a labour of love, taking anywhere from one to four months to complete, with Kusum devoting over seven hours...
